My Birthday Celebration @ 88 Hot Spring Resort
My MBA friends from Manila visited me last February 19, 2012 to celebrate my post-birthday. How thoughtful are they! We arrived in Laguna around 7:00PM, picked up the car parked at SM City Calamba (hehe, my strategy for free parking) and went straight to Bagong Kalsada, near Pansol. I always wanted them to visit 88 Hotspring Resort. It is a Korean Resort and Spa located at Bagong Kalsada, National Highway, Los Banos, Laguna. Also, the reason for choosing it is because my friend Chiqui, always has an attraction with Korean guys (uuuyyy!!). I did not disappoint her. There are indeed a lot of Korean guys inside the resort, hehehe.
Back to my story mode, we also ate inside the restaurant. We ordered Korean delicacies and Chiqui chose the menu. Trust me guys, Chiqui knows a lot of things about South Korea so we leave the food choosing to her. We ate a lot since we traveled for 1 hour from Manila to Laguna.
The resort has a vast area. You need to climb a long stairs before getting on the area where the restaurants and the main pools are. It’s like a hotel, when you enter, you will be greeted by the security and the receptionist. Oh, by the way, the parking lot is not cemented but graveled. We paid Php500 each for the entrance fee and use of facilities which includes use of locker room, swimming to any of the pools, and a beach towel. I know that Php500 is high entrance fee for a resort in Laguna but believe me, it’s all worthy!
My friends, Ja and Chiqui, enjoyed the hot pool the most, approximately 45 degrees hot. Oh my! At first, I can’t even put my feet on top of the water. But I really wanted to join Ja & chiqui who are enjoying themselves swimming on the hot pool. Anyway, I just damped my legs but moved away immediately. Hehehe. We finished swimming at around 2:00AM the next day. We were able to stay there until that time even though the cut-off time is only until 12:00AM. We could have stayed longer if we wanted to but we opted to wash up already since we wanted to take some photos around the resort.
We took some pictures around the resort. It’s Day-Off Day! – that’s how we call it! Unfortunately since it’s already very late, we have not tried the other pools located on the other side of the resort. Well, hopefully we can have it scheduled earlier than the previous one that we have so that we can also maximize the beauty of the resort, even try the spa, and watch for the live bands. I suggest that for you to maximize your fee, be there early and enjoy every amenities of the resort. But I will definitely get back to 88!
